This afternoon the boys and I took a trip to Altenburg's Country Gardens to enjoy some wonderfully warm October weather. It was 82 degrees today. In Wisconsin. In October!

The day was filled with sunshine and Dawson and Owen were very excited to go on a hayride and pick out their very own pumpkins. My parents, my sister and my brother joined us as well.

Owen was attached to his Papa throughout the whole day. He loves his grandpa so much. Dawson spent his time joking around with his uncle Frankie as well as giving Auntie Rachel the occasional smirk. My son is quite the joker. He loves to tease and play around.

When the tractor pulling a hay wagon pulled up to the line of people waiting for a ride, Owen was super excited. The ride is about 10 minutes long and it took us through a corn maze to the pumpkin patch. Dawson found a perfectly round pumpkin. It was a lighter shade of orange, but absolutely beautiful. He is determined to carve his own pumpkin this year, but something tells me he might need a bit of help. His pumpkin is a bit big.

Owen found a neat little pumpkin just his size and carried it all the way back to the hay wagon. He held his pumpkin all the way back to the farm stand. It was so adorable.

After the hay ride we took a peek at the petting zoo but Owen freaked out when one of the peacocks got a little to close. It was time to get out of there! We weighed and paid for our pumpkins and went back to our house.

Overall it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
